  1. Yeah. I got the point. So does Ito-Yokado, the Japanese company that owns 7-11 (which was originally founded in Texas in 1927). Seven-elevens are everywhere – a glowing sign written in a universal language – they supply convenient plastic products to the masses of the world. In fact on July 11, 2004 they provided free 7.11oz slurpies to customers in honour of the company’s 77th birthday

Hopefully many of you are wondering what the hell i’m talking about. July 11th is also the day Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel, the day Avagadro published his theory on the molecular content of gas, the day in 1955 when “In god we trust” was added to currency, the day the first transatlantic satellite television transmission was made, the day Emperor Qin’s 6,000 terracotta soldiers from 221 B.C were discovered in China, the day in 1977 Martin Luther King, Jr was posthumously rewarded the Medal of Freedom, the day in 1979 Skylab returned to Earth, the day in 1987 that the population of Earth was recorded as reaching 5 billion, and in 2004 something else happened besides slurpies.
